ETQW - test of time

Read the following in this interview:
QuoteWe did some new stuff with ET:QW on a testing perspective, with a private beta all through the summer and then going larger with a public beta. We gave some teams like Team HOT and 20id as they came to a press event earlier this year in Los Angeles. We've gotten a lot of feedback from them as they've been in on the beta. We want to involve the professional players, especially if we want a game that's going to last, stand the test of time, and not be tweaked so much after its release.

I think even the players they talk about (HOT 20ID) who supposedly gave input to make sure the game doesn't need much tweaking agree a lot has to be tweaked!

Ow, as they did in Enemy Territory they once again included the worst map ever in their beta/demo. Valley is just horrible unless you like spam.

We're ET players, of course we like spam.

I am not really involved in ET QW appart from playing it on a pub a couple of times, i just checked a bit of D vs HOT and they were trying to fix a bridge in order to move a vehicle trough a tunnel, it brought me back 4 years earlier playing fueldump and trying to fix the damn bridge against a mortar 2 pf and a sniper ..... i guess it will be exactly like ET, you ll need to wait 2 years before the game will be fun to play :(
That was my point indeed. In ET they included Fueldump, now Valley. Horrible maps. Someone should send them to some marketing classes.

The best about the game are the bots. Great work!
