my internet

First when i had vista my internet works fine etc but i want back to xp so downloaden the driver of my internetcard put it at a usb-stick /format, install xp. But now how to install the driver? In the downloaded map there are only files in about: .systeem, a security file and some text files.. But the systeem file you cant open.. How to do :o ?
