Ventrilo Crash Attempts

What does someone reconnecting very fast on ventrilo achieve?

Is it supposed to crash the server or something?

We kicked nuggan, unix and wizzel since they were leeching our vent, and then suddenly we see someone connecting and disconnecting over and over...

Does this really crash some vent servers?

No, they are clearly just trying to annoy you with phonetic connecting messages. Throttling ventrilo servers does not really work anymore, not since the first release anyway.

Ask them?

Oh. We have all our vent sounds disabled.

Good to hear they had a productive ten minutes of reconnecting to ventrilo then :).

for somepeople (who have those stupid "someone has connected" sounds) it is VERY annoying, and will make them at least change some settings... :/
