i have a

Pentium D930 3.0 Ghz
1GB ram 266Mhz
~300GB hard disk (160GB*2 (stripped aka raid0) ) @ SATA
nvidia evga 6600 GT

WHY THE FUCK CANT I GET 125 STABLE FPS ??

EDIT: i have win xp sp2 x64

this game is buggy i have amd 64 3800 2 gig mem and gt 7600 gt still i get fps drops in evry fucking r_mode same drops

strange.. no drops here. perhaps your pc is running a million other things? (oh and an amd 3800 isn't all THAT powerful as well)

and when you run around maps? just say a couple situations on sw_gold for instance. what do you get when you are at allies first spawn, what do you get at first tank barrier etc..

if you get "sorta stable" on certain parts of the maps and a couple drops here and there on other parts of the map then you can pretty much asume your CPU isn't up to the task.

The vidcard is able to pump out 125 stable imo, that's not the issue, it's most likely the cpu since ET is quite cpu intensive as you probably know.

look @ ur nvidia driver settings, put everything on lowest settings and highest performance

make sure you use a high-fps config

:D i have a geforce 7600 GTX and i have always 89 fps when i run to the stairs from the second axis spawn XD but if i stand on the truckbarrier or something else i have 543 fps ^^ <3

The D930 is pretty rubbish at stock speeds. Easily goes up to 4 GHz though, but probably not with your RAM...

But hey, let's be constructive: Install Linux.

PS. Ubuntu has been praised as being the most user-friendly Linux distribution, though I have no experience with it myself.

Edit: Hell, you can even use that otherwise useless 'CruiseControl' button as a normal button now.

btw the reason why i don't have linux already is because after all installations attempts (more than 20 ) my computer freezes at the loading of desktop gnome/kde ( gfx card is 6600 Gt ) tried ubuntu suse mandrake redhat( this was supposed to be good but crashes 2 )

(While I know that a problem like this could easily be tracked down in Gentoo, I'm always hesitant to recommend it...)

I have a Amd x2 3800+ (am2 socket) + Ocz 1gb ddr2 800 mhz + Ati x1900xt 512mb, and i have unstable fps since ever. My pc is evrytime jumping between 110 and 124.9, but no brakes, so is fine for play. Anyway my pc is also retard. I have the same fps with all cfg's, all rmodes, lol :D

gfx driver version is 77.77
