Any big differences between a 8800gts 320 mb / 640 mb ? / go for a e6600 quad or a faster dual core? (e6750 or sum)

Go for e6600 and buy 8800 320 its best price/performance
i ain't no expert, but i think 640MB version is better for larger resolutions, so if you got a 22" monitor then you gotta go for that, but if you got a 17" then you will do just fine with the 320 version

and btw e6600 quad means it's quad-core(4 processors) not dual core, but i have no idea which processor would be the best bang for the buck
I dont see any reason to buy quad core if u aint high end 3d modeller just buy e6600 and OC it

I would go for better 2 cores because (unless you need multithreading) quadcore is pretty useless nowadays... but you never know how fast it'll go on the hardware/software market.

For older games you won't notice a big difference between those 2 processors. For some new games (crysis, supreme commander, ...) there's an advantage when having a quad but they'll run smooth with 2 cores as well
Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2400 MHz 266 MHz QDR L1: 64KB / L2: 4MB Socket 775 geen

Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2333 MHz 333 MHz QDR L1: 64KB / L2: 4MB Socket 775 Lagere multiplier, hogere FSB

6550 is 70 euros minder ;)
6750 is 20 duurder, maar wel snellah

take a E6750 and take a EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB. If you play on a resolution from 1600*1200 take a 640 MB

i say take a EVGA so you can use their step-up program. So in november you can switch the 8*** with a 9***. They will be newer, faster and much better. You only need to pay the difference then. Read their site.
or you can get the same price effect, if you damage your card by overheating a bit, and then return it, and pay the difference for the new one :)
Parent
yes but when you damgage it i think you have to wait much longer and they will send you the same card back. But why do it "illegaly" when you can do it "legally" and easier :D

btw you are puran superboyy?? nice fragmovie ;)

imo e6750 /8800 320mb is a good combination and i got no problem with high res what so ever :)
I also own a Intel e6750 (paid 179 for it) and have a EVGA 8800gts 320mb, this is a very nice and fast combination. 125 fps stable in ET @ 1280x1024 xD ^^
