cheaper than what u think!
stay at a gaijin house - 1 month rent = approx £400
JR rail pass 21 days = £250
flights - £600 +

taking into account that tokyo is one of the most expensive places in the world to live it aint that bad tbh. Money can be saved by using hostel dorms but i prefer to live in tokyo and travel using the bullet :D
