Need pc help!

Like the journal says I need help with my pc, it started a few days ago when I decided to format my pc (was kinda slow and stuff). After the format finished I thought everything was ok and then my pc restarted and didn't move on after the black screen with all the names and numbers. It said "couldn't load system" or something equal to that and nothing happend anymore, it just got stuck there and everytime I boot now it says the same, and a few seconda later it says "please insert CD" but this loads the windows CD and i'm back from where I started again (And yes I already tried the format several times after the first one). Well I know for sure that it wasn't the way I formatted, had someone else looking at it aswell (with some pc knowledge) and he said I didn't do anything wrong (so far). The CD also still works (tried it on a other pc).

Specs, Asus A8N-E + 2x 160gb maxtor + 1gb ram + 3500 athlon

I've googled already and came on a few sites which talked about this problem and they said a firmware update of my maxtors could help but i haven't been able to find the right firmware :/ ... on my HD's it says something like VA111900 (code for the generation or something like that) but I only found some firmware updates for other generations :<

ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO!?!!?
thanks in advance (free cookies for most usefull comment :Dd:d;D)

Edit: just found a screenshot which looks like it has the same problem I have, and no I don't have that on my monitor for everyone who thinks he's funny.

yes, you can throw it out of the window. nP! :)
imo, did you instal your drivers yet for your motherboard ?
well actually I never did it in this stage in formats I did in the past :/ ... wouldn't even know how to either, something like boot with asus driver cd and then I'll just get the screen where I can select which ones I want installed or what? because usually I always do that after I actually see my desktop.

it seems to be the only solution for the problem your having right now, or your hard disk might have crashed aswell, try another one if you have
Parent
hmm well I can try unplugging one of the two and install it then.
Parent
too long to read... but i feel sorry for u...

This happened me before to had to install from a different disc in the end, You burn the windows disc yourself?
both disk I've used where real, only the original keys don't work anymore (which came with those disks)
Parent
did you finish z win instalation? had z same prob my win disc was scrached
used 2 different disks, both not working...
Parent
it could also be your cd drive and hdd drive settings primary master or something had that prob too but i dont know much about that a friend fixed it for me. in this case i could not finish win instalation and got an error half way thrue. after that it just boots and starts z install and gives error over and over again.
Parent
you gave me an idea :P will try it right away.
Edit: nvm didn't work :<
Parent

Maxtor hardrives *sigh* I think that´s your problem. Had 1 once, one day i botted up the pc came to "windows xp" screen, then nothing. Turned out to be a crap hardrive.
well could be my problem I will check for warranty then, i'm not that interested in buying new stuff for this pc since i'm planning on buying a new one anyway but having a working backup is always nice ;D
Parent
yepp. The only thing i know is that they are known to be crap (:<) The only "thing" you pay for when you buy a Maxtor is the low sound level ;) rest is bit crappy :)

So that could well likely be your prob.
