sonic syndicate isnt melo death, something different ... has nothing to do with deathmetal. saw them on a festival this summer and they were so fucking bad.

they got 2 singers, one is looking like some beckham wannabe and the other one has the worst emo haircut ever, same emo cut for the 2nd guitarist..god damn fags jumping around on stage

only the girl and the drummer are okay

I wouldn't describe Sonic Syndicate as melodeath either. Furthermore their music is nothing v special imo. I don't even know the rest.

Decent Melodeath-Bands:
The Duskfall (unknown, AWESOME)
At The Gates (<3 Slaughter of the Soul)
Dark Tranquility (<3 Damage Done)
Insomnium (awesome, <3 In the Halls of Awaiting)
Hypocrisy (<3 The Arrival & Roswell 47)
Wintersun (nothing to be said about them)
God Dethroned (melodeath or death metal with melodic influences, care, "The Toxic Touch" is one of the best albums i have ever heard =))
COB (you will have them anyway i guess)

Well, Sonic Syndicate is tagged as melodeath on lastfm, thats why I wanted to try them - but good to know, that they suck

not sure if you know "Arch Enemy" from Sweden, but you really should take a closer look at them....
some other more known stuff: in flames, opeth, black dahlia murder (not death metal i think, but they kick ass)...
