ET-ACE goes into development

ET AntiCheat Effort, or etace for short, the part of xfire-project that tries to make our community cheater-free, is now in development phase. We have come up with a plan to do just that, and we're now working on it. I won't give you much, just a hint: etace will be a new mod, that will take on the feeling of etpro (and will have ettv), but it will be done in such a way that will stop all the cheats currently out there.

maybe they'll manage to make ET 1 day cheater-free but afterwords.. the new nexus's / etb0t's and stuff will be updated..
there is a to big money rolling in the cheater shit , so the ppl who make them will never stop..

i think no one wants to play a new mod even if its cheat protected.. otherwise i think its not possible to make et cheat-clean

Dont think so to be honestly. If the only difference is that there is a new anti cheating system implented then id say thats no problem. especially when leauges and cups support this mod.

If im not wrong, Bani let the etpub mod use etpro hitboxes, so I dont see why the etpro team should help out with this aswell

Yes, but my point was that if they let ETPUB use some parts of the ETPRO mod, why wouldnt they give the same support to this anti cheat mod?

Ofcourse it would be better to just ask the qustions to the ETPRO team ^_^

Honestly, while I wish you luck I highly doubt this will be successful from your current standpoint. It's simply true that for any protection you add, there will be someone breaking through it. If you are actually successful in it's completion and implementation, you might stop a few cheats, maybe Nexus or others, but there are bound to be new ones (even of a different type) soon. The cheat coders for ET are very persistent. :/

I believe that the best way to stop cheaters is not blocking them, but creating a system where they can be banned more effectively. This would be impervious to new hacks, would possibly be simpler to make, and would not be as fragile. It's possible if thought out correctly.
