Try to find out the producer of ur laptop, e.g. msi, siemens, fujitsu and try it on their homepage. I had a similar problem and fixed it on this way.

Hi!
I got my new laptop, but I got a problem.
The laptop itself is recognizing the card as an unidentified hardware and cannot find drivers for it. Programs like Everest show that the card is really in, it's a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT. All the drivers I tried from nvidia won't work. How can I fix this?
