msn help

a friend of mine is in need of help. He has some kind of msn virus and cant get rid off it, even avast! cant help. He doesnt want to format. Recently here was some forum/journal topic about how to remove this virus but i'm unable to find it. I would be very grateful if you could help me/him with this shit.
