Thinking of buying a new pc

I was thinking of buying a new pc, and since I'm really outdated on pretty much everything, I'm just gonna ask here.
What do you think of this setup good/bad? Is there anything I should change for something else? I'm kinda open on prices, but I dont want something which is too expensiv, about 820 euro (840 euro for this setup)

Is it even worth the money to go for 2048 ram instead of just 1024?

I think I remember some connection between the RAM PC#### and the CPU, but I'm guessing I'm just way of on that, or what?

i wud say u can get more for 840 than those

depends whether u really want the dvd burner etc

Haha, det gjorde du vel sikkert :p Telehor blokkerte masse på linja mi, så alt jeg kan gjøre er å surfe og laste ned via opera/ie/etc :p Så jeg spiller Q4 mot bots.. Har bestilt ventelo idag, så jeg får tilbake det samme gamle snart! Men Quake4 blir en stor mulighet istedenfor jævla ET :p

what you want is good...but try to go for more ram and a bigger hd
i also heard that a new generation of video cards will be released in like 1-2 month...so your's 8500gt will go down on price...like all the others old vc's

So if I just wait a little while (something I probably will), I'll get it cheaper? But I dont know if the same options will be availible at that time, because this is a package deal I can change the hardware on. I already have 200gb and 74 (10 000 rpm), so I dont really need a bigger hdd, but something like 16mb on hdd is something I was thinking about.

That MBO is kinda ok, probably for that price it's the best MBO you can get. If you are going for AMD, 6000+ is the best u can get. I would suggest you to take Thermaltake Cooler V1, if u want some CPU overlock. 2GB became standard now and anything under that isn't really good for new PC. Corsair memory is good, and I think it is good for overclock as well. Samsung is silent HDD, and should be ok for your use. All DVD+RW brands are equal now,and u cant go wrong with any of these. Taking one of X-Fi soundcards is a good choice, but I think XtremeAudio is also good enough for your use, and it's a bit cheaper.The biggest problem out here is your gfx. 8500GT is REALLY bad GFX for playing. The only good thing with that card is multimedia and dx10 support(but that dx10 wont be very useful because of poor performance in games). If you are not really waiting for new dx10 games(which are not even out yet) I suggest you taking 7900gs/gt.
