I just crushed my server :(

After a tiny little new compile of my server's kernel, teh server refuses to boot again.

Background:

I ordered a new server Athlon X2 3800 64 Bit.
they shiped it with a kernel for a "468" cpu which is quite old.

so i did some settings (timer to 1000, preempt, Opteron(K8) cpu family)

compiled and installed, baam :((

now the support is gone and i dont have my password to the control panel yet, so i could reset the server (free of charge ofc)

be sad with me pls :(

dont really think its the kernel tbh, more the initrd img. Been compiling kernels since i was in my mums stomach.

edit: just finished installin 2 of those babies (http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/x4100/), wish they were my private for some et instances :P 16gigs of ram n 2 dualcore cpus ^^. inbuild remote management console 2 including a java-based vnc-like screen that enables u makin even bios changes.
