whats the different between 500 and 1000 hertz ? i know theres a 500 hertz difference haha! but i mean why dont people use 1000 :o?

its how many times the pc samples the mouses position. No need for a 1000 it will just at to cpu usage!

Not only that, but a lot of mice cannot handle a stable 1000, it will flicker about a lot making the mouse more inaccurate than if you had a stable 500. :>
