I'm using Ubuntu on my laptop, tried to install Wine so I could use my WiFi stick on there: Typed sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get install wine and it intalled but where can I access it? I know a few distro's have it already in the apps menu.
The other thing is my laptop is quite old and has an 'nVidia Corporation NV11 [GeForce2 MX/MX 400] chip but I can't find any driver for something so shit so my screen is kinda choppy at times
I'll soon be sticking Linux on my PC when I find a hdd under my bed so I'd be able to install the GeForce 7.x drivers easier then but for the time being, does anyone have any suggestions?

locate wine
?
no idea @ other stuff :(
it's like searching option! Just like with the gay dog on windows
Linux is usually less hassle, more secure, better community, more hands on kinda feel, windows is pretty much point and click which is too boring
If I had a choice for what OS there would be, Linux or OSX [strike]Windows[/strike]
I don't like things easy :<
I guess it'll take a bit of time getting used to the OS, different commands, apps, directories and what not, but I don't mind having a nose around it :>
oh, and you probably have to download old drivers from the nvidia website, because they dont feel like supporting older cards, unless:
just sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx, or w/e you need, editing the x config (you can google for instructions), and restarting X works, and you didnt try it yet.
and you should get a kind of "pathfinder" window.
As for your concerns about your graphics card, try skimming through this link and see if it helps.
