remarkable change in this eurocup

Last season there were 9 European teams: vae, k1ck, dignitas, TLR, zP, evolve, elite, Impact, AuxiliA

This season there are just 4 European teams left: Impact, GMPO, mod, team kojak

Does this sudden increase of national teams point to the death of a game, or the will for a game to be more LAN friendly?
