in RTCW:ET : cpu -> graficcard -> ram -> hdd

Nvidia 8800 -GFX card or atleast nvidia geforce 7600.
Intel Pentium 4 4ghz
2GB RAM.
Should give you enough FPS and pretty cheap.

QuoteIntel Pentium 4 4ghz

where to buy? highest P4 stock clockspeed is 3,6 GHz :P

and P4 sucks (single core, oldtimer) better buy a cheap C2D or smth
Parent
I tought someone said theres 4 already out. ;( Well I recommand that because it's still cheap and pretty useable. :P

in ET -> CPU

the graka isn't realy used in ET, ofc better graka = more fps

but better CPU = even more fps :>
graphiccard DOES matter
there are fps blocker like gf5200. at gf6600 or better there is no mentionable fps increase.
Parent
well gf4 mx440 & fx5200 & fx5500 all give same fps in ET on my system.

and overclocking CPU from 2,0 to 2,6 GHz gives a fps boost.

so imo graka doesn't mather in ET
ofc you will get better fps with a better graka, but better CPU gives a larger preformance boost.
Parent
true, I used to play with 5200 too
the only bottleneck was covert smoke / airstrike markers

MX 440 > *

CPU ofc, same as most games these days. ;>
CPU / GFX.
is there any posible solution to use both CPU cores, because ive heard that et use only 1 ?
Uses both for me

CPU Usage 50% while playing ET :/
Parent
i ve heared something about r_smp 1 or sth like that

but dunno how to use it correctly

The cpu is the nozzle of ET.
