when the fuck will they fix it? still taking 40% of my CPU and creating huge amounts of spikes

Change it's favorite, CPU will use lower than that. If it wont work you can use a program and control the amount of CPU usage for each program.

set et.exe priority to high!

For a while I was wondering the same thing. It's just amazingly frustrating to lose 'easy' situations because some scanner is running on the background causing lag...

The more skilled the opponent, the more small details matter. If you can't play up to your potential because of hardware problems, it just doesn't make sense to play anymore. At least for me.

So I just decided to stop playing. Fuck it.
