havent played etqw since the demo in september
tested the fullversion now, it still feels laggy and unsmooth
played a lot cod2 over the last week, that game is totally smooth
and cod4 demo is much smoother than etqw fullversion
what do u think? (gn8)

ut3 probably
oh, and I played the ut3 demo... never been so disapointed with epic. They pulled the same shit Q4 did, and much worse!
Heat Ray is a pretty shit map I'll agree, I can see what the designer was trying to do, but it just didn't work. The other though, was utter bliss, literally one of the best maps I've ever played on any game, ranks up there with Phrantic for me. The only section of the map which felt crowded to me was near the hyper blaster.
I mean you can get nearly every weapon from two different places, and you can intentional avoid people without too much trouble.
Unreal tournament in my opinion has never been big on movement, at least not in comparison to Quake, at least fluent coherent movement [I hope you get what I'm implying].
Criticizing technical issues seems a tad over critical, I mean when the game is released, you can tweak away and sort your config out, this is just giving people a taster.
For me, the only 'major' issues, I would like the pistol rate of fire made a tad faster, can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
i dno about ut3.. i see what your saying in general... the menu system and general setup sucks... but its definately better than the 2 previous games in terms of speed... i dont find myself getting bored this time after 3 minutes in a 1v1... even on those big maps... so it has potencial and i just hope they drop the login system and theres a competition mod like cpma (i dont know how it worked in 2k4 as i never played it)
cod4 don't know without a mp demo or something
et:qw still needs some time and patches
really really smooth!
>_>
only similarity is that you can strafe jump, as in all cods except only once... and theirs no drivable vehicles... yet
T_T
Oh btw CoD2 runs on a modified quake 3 engine game, just like CoD4 does
At the end of the day its just down to preference. I personally didnt like et;qw at all, didnt feel right even tho its similar [tried to be similar] to ET. On the other hand I was always a fan of the CoD series so if i have the time ill be playing CoD4.
What one is forgetting is time... no one is getting any younger so time to play is getting very limited. I for one, am having problems finding the time to play as with school/work/life its impossible, and gaming is the least important thing [unless your job is gaming] so it ends up suffering. Majority of the community is studying, college/university whatever, when u end your studies, u'll barely have time to play as u need to get on your feet with a new place, new work environment, new neighborhood etc etc.
I kinda went off topic here but w/e :D
Good Day
