i have strenge problem when i turn on ET its using 45% RAM (hunkmegs 256) next when we change map on server its loading so fast that i cant actually see the screen of loading map, afther that ET is using 99% of RAM (i have 1gb). FPS`S are equal (100) and game is going well but my hdd starts to be very slow but my FPS`S are still ok!! The problem is that i cant minimize ET cause everything is so slow... In the other hand map is loading approximetly 0,5s. ! I dont know what to do. When i change map few times using of ram is bigger and bigger, when i dont have enough ET starts using PSYHICAL WINDOWS MEMORY. Do U have any suggestions. Guys i dunno what to do !!

seta com_crashed "0"
seta com_hunkmegs "256"
seta com_maxfps "100"

hmm, thought you were the finish Anemia, too bad :'<
install et in another new directory and try et without any cfg mod map and look if it still uses 99%
I did as Edison say and its still bad
That's because it's completely useless to do what he said.

I'd try setting com_soundmegs to a comfortable 32.
maybe you use some of those cache map commands?

afaik the cache cmd is off by default, but i found it some time ago in madscientist fps config. It should reduce loading time on slower machines, but also eats away your ram.

€: shit, you still has same problem after reinstalling et :/ Blame pb imho!
try com_hunkmegs 512
cuz some ppl say the hunkmegs need2b the half of ure RAM
"some ppl" are wrong about that.

Quit ET.
ET never uses more hunkmegs than maybe 90-100 MB for the biggest custom map, setting it above that is just a waste of RAM. Your soundmegs are also wasted, 96 MB is enough to hold all sounds in memory unless you play on servers with a lot of custom soundpacks.

It doesn't sound like your problem is related to the settings though.
You right click on task manager and click highest?

Worth a go ^^
