Parent
definitaly, that vid card really sux, certainly on your 22"
Parent
buy the one with 640 mb memory :P because your native resolution needs it
Parent
ye but cost 150 euro more :o
Parent
150 :D zomg
Parent
xd
maybe ill take ati 1950 xt or smth 256 ram + 320 bit
seems fine for 120 euro
Parent
if u use this pc only for job is nice , if ur gonna play games with it also i recommend you better graphic card ( 512 mb )
How much do you wanna spend? I recently built my pc for around £1200.
Prob the same as you Penn
Parent
What games do you wanna play and what applications do you want to run etc? For example video editing, encoding, playback, do you want music on whilst you play etc etc?
Parent
Just carry on play ET and other new games as well but I want HIGH FPS
Parent
Do you need a case as well?

it's better to buy a dualcore cpu atm like mine E6850 @ 3 Ghz, crucial for your ram @ 800 Mhz (crucial ballistix) and an 8800 GTS 320 Mb.

TO buy an 8500 GT is that the best joke ever, it's like to buy a bmw with lada motor.

Last word for your security buy kaspersky internet security.

edit; I don't see any word about your psu, if you have to buy a good one, just buy silverstone m12 500 or 600 watts.
word, although e6750 can go to 3.4ghz OC-ed, so its enough
Parent
My E4400 is currently at 3,2GHz (2 natively) and is still very cool and stable.
Parent
better ram (team extreem dark (easy clock @ 1100))
Don't skimp on your ram, better off paying that extra bit for name brand ram, which I didn't do when buying my pc.
just dont skimp on your conection next time lagger ;_)
Parent
lies! i don't lags!
Parent
jou sure did on uk public on friday, hmm
Parent
I would get 800Mhz ram for such a powerful computer all in all, and maybe also get a bit getter vid card, if you are buying the computer in parts (I mean, not buying it as a package...)... other than that, its pretty good...
800Mhz? isnt gb bigger?
Parent
he means the speed of the ram not the size!
Parent
WOW!Thats some hardcore bullshit

1. dont buy original software(although i might not say it on site like this but u know what i mean).

2. i cant see mbo there, and for that CPU u need very good MBO. take gigabyte ds4 and c2d e6750.

3.take 8800gts with 320mb.

4. take some good RAM like ballistix/OCZ gold and with 800mhz

5. dvdrw = lg h26n

6. go for phillips220ws as 22 wide screen monitor

7. u need a good PSU aswell, chieftec 550w isnt bad for e.g., or go for some OCZ
hmm okay so;

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor (2.4GHz, 1066MHz, 8MB cache)

2GB DDR2 RAM 800MHz

500GB Serial ATA hard drive

22" Viewsonic VX2235WM Widescreen TFT Monitor

Dual 320MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS graphics

??
Parent
DL windows from net. take e6750. u need mbo there.

Buy windows xp home edition OEM as well, don't download it off the net if you have the money to buy it.
Parent
Dont buy windows!, download a 64x version so you can make the most of your duel/quad cores search for the version made by "Juan Ruz"
Parent
bullshit, the 64bit is fucked up and you either cant install half of your apps on it or you have to spend hours looking for workarounds everytime you need to install a driver. Waste of time for no reason.
Parent
rofl what arer you talking about, im running x64 and I havent needed one work around for any of the progammes.. Have you even tried it? OR maybe your pc is fucked.
Parent
get an 8800 ultra....
mux kulhadd jahra l flus ta :P
Parent
the card sux, if i were you i'd get an 8600gts and then change it for a 9series once they come out.

ocz / crucial ram 800mhz or more

check response time of your monitor

ocz psu ;o
Idd. Mine is working with 667mhz and I tried a 800mhz of my friend whit not a single advantage.
dunno if you can read it but http://tweakers.net/reviews/727/4 thats a very good pc
God, you have a 22" flatscreen, don't fucking buy a 320MB card for that or you will run out of resources in no time. And that 8500 is a joke. Pay for the 8800 GTS 640MB (maybe OC version if you can) and just get a cheaper CPU, the core 2 duo goes really high if you know how to overclock.
it's not a MUST, even with 256 gddr3 ram u ll get almost equal fps at 1680x1050, difference might be in 5-10 fps.
Parent
Overclocking.
quadcore is usuless 4me, better a E6750 for now
I Don't, I do not even understand if it is more powerful it was just in the package option.
Might as well get the quad, the price difference aint exactly huge and its future proofing your rig somewhat (get the G0 edition if you intend on overclocking at all).
In terms of RAM, go for something along the lines of PC5300 ballistix, clocks to ~1000mhz (pretty identical to the pc6400 stuff just alot cheaper). Will give you extra savings or the money to go for 4gig of ram (and a 64bit os to actually use it).
8800 GTS is probably the best value higher end card atm and would give you decenet rates at your 22" native res..
Might as well go for an ip35 mobo, x38 will be crazy priced for a while.

Rest is trivial.
and difference in price is 1.5€
