agree, I'm using a single core AMD athlon64 3200+ @ 2,6 GHZ

it does the job for the things I do, but in price range the E6600 is a low/mid end CPU. And my CPU is EOL but I don't care :>

Well I'm still happy with my 3 years old AMD 3200+ which is OCed from 2,0 to 2,6 GHz.

I only play ET so I don't need a uber PC.

But I'm thinking of buying a cheap AMD x2 socket 939 if I can find one.

Intel's perfomance is better atm but AMD is much cheaper and fast enough, i would buy a AMD X2 5200 or 6000 if you have enough moneh.

if you want best prize/money ratio buy AMD X2 6000 or smth

if you want an overkill CPU buy INTEL Core 2 Quad

NOPE

AMD = Best price/quality
INTEL = Best preformance + Best OC but expensive

So you can buy a cheaper AMD if you do not OC and if you want to OC you can better buy intel for best results.
