So you have 2 tutorials which can give you a start with customizing your desktop. But, it's not enough? You want something fresh new? Found something intresting but you dont know how the fuck to use it?

install BERYL
you have plenty of themes etc. there.
you can also do that "rotating desktop stuff then", quite fun.

apt get beryl or just install it over the add/remove software thingy

it seems to be a bug in some ubuntu gfx driver files or something, and i have no idea how to fix it.
But you can solve the prob temporarly:
/r_gamma 1
/r_gamma the value that u use usually
then its restored to your usuall gamma.
(you prolly knew that already ^^)
