sometimes reviews are only about the marketing so dont always trust to reviews, and 8800gts works normal on amd

x1950 definetely. performances in dx9 games are much better on x1950, and 8600gts will have very poor performance in new dx10games. although, u can even take x1950gt with 256mb and overclock it.
