Post this somewhere else so ive just pasted.
....
I got a striker extreme mobo and my pc keeps bsoding due to memory failure. mostly when its under load.
so ive been told to update my bios and this should be a fix.
downloaded the lastest bios update from asus, which came in a zip. I unziped and burned the bin file '1305.BIN' to cdrom (i have no floppy Drive)
restarted and went into the bios, loaded defaults and inserted the cd, then went into tools, and EZ Flash utility bios updater, but it couldnt find any software on the cd.
so, Have i downloaded the wrong file?
Ive seen other manuals and they state it should be .ROM not .BIN?
thx, Rich
anybody any idea?

did it once as raw data using win xp writer, then once as image using achohol 120%.
u should burn the cd as a bootable disk
