ETQW Damage-zones for assault rifle

ETQW Damage-zones for assault rifle:

35 HP: Upper Head (Forehead)
21 HP: Lower head (mouth), Neck, Shoulders, Upper chest
14 HP: Chest, Tummy, Arms
7 HP: Hands / Legs / Feet

My first reaction is: Too much damage in chest/neck/shoulders area!

I like that only hitting head gives massive damage in ET. Feels too generous in ETQW with those damage zones.

The good part of ET that its hugly fun to learn to hit a very small object that is moving (the head of a moving enemy). And improving your skills in hitting this little area is imo very very satisfying.

For me target practise is a huge part of the fun in ET.

If the damage-zones in ETQW were like in ET, it would higher the skill level in ETQW, since as it now in ETQW everyone who can hit the chest of an enemy is a "proaimer", where as in ET you need to hit forehead to be a "proaimer".

i agree,

whole head should be 35-40 even,

all chest should be 15,

then hands ,legs,arms,feet 7 :)
I thought they changed it so instead of exact values for each area you gradually got more damage the closer you got to the head for example?
which sux because alot of people shoot at shoulders-chin.

only a small elite group like me can pewpew headshot

imo u still have the "ET-feelin": 3 headis and ur enemy goes down .. hit less and u´ll need additional bodyshots, doesnt matter where
3 headshot for a medic, but 2 headshot for a LT (or soldier, Eng). ;) At least thats how it is in rtcw.

Make it CS, 1 headshot = instant kill :p

Noobs only need 5 upper-chest shots for a kill in ETQW.

Its way harder to make 3 hs, than 5 chest shots. Any noob can hit chest.

With only 5 shots, you dont need strafe skill, or tracking skill, since you only need so few bullets to hit the body.

This game is so designed for the nubs:
- High spread, so pro aimers wont own everyone
- Low strafe speed, so skill-less players dont need to learn movement skill, or learn how to track a player
- Low skill damage-zones, so people dont need to aim for head, to make a fast kill. Chest will do fine.



In ET a kill is 3-4 hs or 9 chest shots.

MP40/Thompson
40 HP: Headshot with helmet
50 HP: Headshot without helmet
18 HP Bodyshot

ET is a skill game because:
- Low spread, pro aimers own everyone.
- High strafe speed (if you saved your stamina), so skilled players who have learned movement skill can own players.
- High skill damage-zone, so people need to aim for head, to make a fast kill, and have good tracking skills to kill a player since body shots dont make much damage.

pretty impressive - let me guess! u played the QW-demo for 2 hours?
QW is NOT ET, when will the last whiner get the too? If there wouldnt have been any difference they would have called it ET2
But u have to live with the fact, that QW is the most comparable game with ET, maybe even more than RTCW
