Dark Omen memories...

Dark Omen was great fun but far from the best strategy game ever rofl.

Dark Omen and MoC are pretty similar.

But man, the first game of this series, Shadow of the Horned Rat... It was difficult! I remember reading a review of the game in a local gaming magazine saying it's "pretty easy", buying it, getting stuck on some early levels and asking advice in the magazine's BBS. Turned out, that the guy who wrote the review was a bit of a masochist: his "pretty easy" was "fucking imposssible!" to a regular player.

The twentieth time some frenzied rat ogre slayed my 25 halberdiers while they were fleeing was enough for me. Never played the game since.
