How do you use your mousemat?

Just wondered, when using whatever mousemat you have, do you rest your wrist and hand on the mousemat itself or do you rest it on the table or desk?

I rest my wrist on the mousemat. As a result of that the lower half of it has turned from black to sort of greyish-brown colour.

Hmmz i played with Steelpas quik and was only using the hand on it. Now im using my whole table and its going finer, more accurate shooting and stuff

I use a QPAD, I got my elbow on my desk and I haven't got anything on my wrist such as tape or so, because It's pointless in my eyes.

Aren't there any shops in ISR which have got these Qpad's either? Thought Qpad was selling throughout the whole world though..
