Already been playing the multiplayer beta a bit and it runs surprisingly smoothly on my computer with lowest settings. Yours should be more than fine, especially if they optimized the game a bit.

Pretty fun.. Hard to compare to ET because it's a lot different, but I think most people who liked FarCry will like Crysis. Movement is quite a bit better than your average FPS game these days, weapons and aiming are fine, graphics are great, the world is extremely detailed (ie. you can shoot a bunch of crabs and it's friends will "attack" you :P), the prestige (xp) system is a bit confusing but it's relatively balanced. The mode switching thing where you change to strength, speed, armor, etc oriented adds some depth to gameplay too. I don't know how it will be for competition since I didn't play multiplayer FarCry significantly and the beta map is probably meant more for 12 vs 12 or something.

It's pretty open, but once you learn how to change spawns the action takes place in localized areas.
