fps drops :SS

ok, so i limit my fps to 76 since my monitor can only go up to 60hz at full res (and i like it at full res). i'm getting some drops to 60fps, and yesterday while watching ettv fps on radar even dropped to 30s and 40s :X now i'm rly sure my pc can't possibly have any problems with ET since i can get stable 60fps @cod4 with med details, did a spyware and virus scan and the drops are still happening. a format won't help because the pc is 2weeks old and definitely doesn't need one.

any tips plx? :( (specs @profile - no i don't have a hitcounter)

Like you said I geuss its spyware/addware, just scan your pc :) or format

Defrag harddisks

Jkdefrag is fast ,powerful and free just google for it :)

Clean fan's aswell and check weither everything is plugged in the right way

If you recently updated your drivers , try using older drivers
