1. The old omega drivers were faster coz hadn't the catalyst control center but nowdays i think the ccc isn't slow and if i turn off it during qw i have fps lag...with ccc more and stabile fps^^

2. Maybe the omega driver is optimized for better speed but i dont belive it^^ Everything is just the question of your settings.

I use omega drivers. It gives me a slight fps boost on most games, as my PC is not the newest one.
