memory @ gfx card memory

I have 4 gb of memory and even in xp its showing 3.25gb, is this something to do with how much memory my gfx card has? that has 768mb.

how could memory of the gfx card have anything to do with normal RAM? :s

btw XP can recognize up to 4GB of RAM

nope 32-bit only recognize 3.2 gb RAM

actually 32-bit XP can recognize up to 4.2GB of RAM (2^32) but can't allocate them because of the I/O memory mapping

"he currently 32-bit Windows XP supports an address range of 4GB, but if you install 4GB of RAM it will, by default, only give a 32-bit application half of this. U're pwned by ms and cant use your memory :D

Go wait for XP 64-bit wich will have better support.
