Connecting an LP player to the amp.

Ok, i got an LP player, an amplifier and 2 speakers... ok, there are 2 cords coming out of the LP player itself, and go into the amp. On the amp there are alot of slots, but 2 say "phono left and phono right" which are the ones the phono (lp player) should go into, one of the cords from the lp player is black and the other red. If i connect the red into left and black into right i only get sound from right. if i connect black into left and red into right i only get sound from left :((((, what to do :(((?

ohh that, i dont think so, cus when i took it to the repare shop today, to get a new pickup and a needle, they tested the cords with some machine ! and they both came out working.. :/

then one slot is broken imo

...if one slot is broken its normal that u just hear only from right or only from left :X

i do, but i doubt it, cus i can use both slots, just individually...not at the same time :(

Make sure you're using a positive and a negative cable.
Even though they are black and red, it doesn't say wether they are positive or negative, since it can be from another country or smth like that ;p

but lets say for some reason they werent + and - (both + or both - or sum) then what :/? and isnt it quite unlikely that it is, since it comes out of the lp player itself o0

oh w8, ffs, I read the message wrong, nvm what I said...

Ok, let's think of another possible solution :S

check wether your amplifier's sound is placed on center ;)
