you can try to get the vocals-source when the bands liek separately record drums, guitars, bass and vocals and maby some other stuff that are afterwards mixed into a song
If the song is mixed there is no "magic"way that you can remove vocals. BUT sometimes the vocals are mixed to the "center" so they can be "removed", but without the mastertapes you are fucked anyhow.
