8800 GTS

Hello Hello...

I just got my 8800 gts and i cant seem to get the resolution 1440*900 and from all the sites i have googled i got nothing. so am wondering if it is possible to set your own custom resolution like ET, what i was gonna do was load up et then minimise it :D

but i was playing in riva tuner and:

it wont even let me apply it now what is that telling me that i've wasted £150 for a GFX card that dont support my resolution or that Forceware drivers suck cause u cant force a resolution like ATi??

it seems 8800GT is best bang for money at this point. i hear it out performs the GTS and comes really close to GTX, while being much cheaper.

GT is just a little bit worse than the GTX, but the price difference is huge. You can buy 2 GT's (SLI) and have better results than 1 GTX + 2x GT's costs less then 1 GTX

weird, i have this resolution by default whenever i connect the 19' lcd cable. Just force it with powerstrip.

and for et:

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1440"
seta r_customheight "900"
seta cg_fov "100.39" //calculated for 16:10

your monitor cable may be defective. the ddc connection to the monitor isn't there.
