Crysis SP

Played it yesterday (no not the demo). Looks very sweet I must say. I recon you need a hefty system to run it smoothly though with all the eye-candy on. the demo doesn't really smack on your system hard enough compared to the full game.

It gets rather freaky when you enter into that alien crap in the caves, but it's nice to play anyway. (though you can get by lots of things by simply cloaking all the time)

Compared to cod4, this sp is quite longer. I haven't finished it yet but played for about 5 or 6 hours and have the feeling I'm about halfway.

Thumbs-up to crytek though for producing the best looking engine I've seen so far.

I'm running on core2duo 6850 with 8800gtx and with everything on high (so not even ultra-high) I get about 40 to 60 fps on average, so you can imagine what happens in busy parts of the game or when you play with lower end systems.

I haven't tried to run it on low yet cuz i simply want to see the entire game in high-settings first.

Hmmm.. I recon a quad-sli 8800gtx and a hefty quad-core cpu will get you a looong way.

Nice, I have seen the demo on a 8800GT+some dualcore processor dunno whichone, high quality ingame (not ultra) and it looked sweet, oh yes. With anisotropic filtering and anti aliasing it got crappy, so that was both off. Nice to know the full version is worth buying. (need new system myself though :P)

i can't rly understand why u play SP , as for me i never played SP of any game for more than 1 level ( exept for Gun wich is awesome & doesn't have MP) i can't see the thrill in killing noob AI's while the MP is more of a challenge. I haven't played SP of cod4 cod2 rtcw etc. And i can't say i'm attracted to play it

and that's why some ppl like blondes and others like brunettes and others like both and others dont like any of it and some only like redheads etc.etc. and the reasons for liking them is just as diverse.

same applies to games. it's a matter of taste and a matter of reasons for playing it.

Downloaded 6.06 GB of Crysis , it runs quite good on low-med , but i didn't like it and deleted it after 10 mins of playing (got till minefield place 2nd mission or smth) , I just don't like stealth missions.
