Mouse Problems.

So I got my Mircosoft Habu mouse afew months ago, but lately its been acting up.

When I am playing a game the mouse lags for about 10 seconds and I cant do anything with it, this only happens randomly and when it happens I hear the windows sound letting me know a piece of hardware has disconnected, and I hear it reconnecting straight away.

Also my pc lags when this happens aswell, I was thinking it might be something to do with my ram because I have little of it [1g] since half of it broke!

PLEASE HELP ME!!

And if I need to buy a new mouse which one? Im thinking mx518.

EDIT: By the way when this happens my dpi changes down from 400 to 800, I tried leaving it on 400 but that doesnt stop it either. :<

I have a semi razer mouse, the microsoft habu is powered by razer, it uses razer drivers, AND THIS IS WHAT I GET? FU RAZER!

518 is ok, I find it too heavy + don't like the shape.

Well, if you like light mice you won't like the MX518 tbh.
If you like heavier mice then a 518 is good. :D

The cable is broken in one place, when you are moving your mouse pieces of the cable disconnect and connect, that's why Windows' saying that new hardware has been found. Lags are caused by the hardware installation process.

The mx518 is still the first choice for most gamers. Why else would Logitech still have it in their portfolio?
I still use my first mx510 which I bought 3 years ago, and it still works perfectly.

i have same mouse and same prob.. its the usb connection. it just plugs in and plugs out... BUT i had same before with my copperhead.. so i guess it is our usb conection what isnt that goood or its just the usb material at the mices... i dunno...
i read alot about other ppl who got same mices with same probs..
just bring it back and get a new..

Yeah, Im pretty certain that its the wire/usb connection!
Its an okish mouse but Im going to order a mx518!

Well my motherboard is pretty new and I have tried it in different usb connections (because there is 5 or 6) and it is still broken! :<

It's cable problem. not usb port problem :) I had the same problem... but my dad fixed it.

he just unsquashed the mouse take out of the cable
and cut the cable where thats connecting to the mouse. and replaced that part with an other cable
thats all
