i suck at maths... but wtf does factorise ..... 2x + 6 how da fuk u do that xD... i know its easy but i forgot what to do :(

PLEASE HELP ME!! :D

P.S: it doesnt count as cheating xD

factorise 2x + 6... mmm

2(x + 3)

edit: I hope you aren't taking Maths A level....

you have to pick out the common factors so 2 is a common factor because 2 goes into 2 and it goes into 6

so 2 (1x+3)

is the correct answer because

2x 1x = 2x
2x 3 = 6

= 2x+6

you're trying to solve it, which is impossible because you have no idea what the equation equals, you assume it equals 0 but it isn't a quadratic.... you're thinking of a question like....

"Solve the equation x^3 - 5x^2 - 2x + 24 = 0"

the question was "Factorise 2x + 6"

if it was 2x + 6 = 0 then you could easily solve it

2x + 6 = 0

2*(x+3) = 0

x+3 = 0

x = -3
