yeah, im doing an a2 course. these are only a few digital test shots, i get my b/w 400speed film back on monday, hopefully they'll come out well.

re background: i never intended to have it like that :( i had a black awning but it was really hard to put up and we only had 30 minutes to do everything. but the 2nd one is really just a bit of experimental fun, i dont intend to use in for my course.

don't agree, the coloring is awesome (a bit HDR like), and the background is perfect (shouldn't be too much on it, it'll kill the focus)

Not sure about the framing and background on the second one (I know the background is the same, but somehow it doesn't work as well with that lighting and in colour), the first is nice!

EDIT: I think I actually prefer the framing on the first one WITH the xfire cropping, so the girl is on the right of the image, rather than the centre.

First one is nice, although it might be nicer if u edit it some more. Like smoothen out the lightning on her face and add some contrast perhaps. Ow and its abit too posed imo. But i rly like the background and the way u framed it.

Second one has bad lightning which prolly makes it look too pink. Ur colors are eaten out because of this(dno how u call it in english). I dont have a problem with ur framing on this one, but if u have to take this to a professor, hes gonna tell u that u better leave the border and that u shoudnt cut of her hand or face like that. I know u WANT the face to be out of the picture, but they would want u to do it more subtle, like make her look sideways or something.

Just trying to help, got alot of friends that study photography :)

the 2nd 1 is purposefully washed out with red light. it looks pretty obvious to me :p

ye but if u take this to peers they wont be too happy with the less smooth color transition :)
And actually i was talking about the white part, which indicates too much lightning and partially destroys the colors.

Gl with the course btw, photography is fun :)

first one is lil to bit dark. And second one would be nicer if u will show her lips. Cos now u just dont have any punkt where u can pay ur attention:)

First picture has got an excellent composition, well done. I like the colors in it as well, though, at the left "blank" spot should've been something colorfull.. That girl is a part of the photo and the thing colorfull wouldn't be, that would make it even more extraordinary.

The second one is pink, wtf? Compo is great though, but her body isn't really something we are looking out for..

The emotions are clear in my eyes, is she the one type of a girl with multiple faces? (as they call these girls @ model lands)
