sound fucked

Everytime i start cod4 after 5-10 minutes my sound starts crisping like rice krispies when u put the milk over them , then i slowly starts getting worse till my sound just stops & my computer automaticly reboots

soundcard cant handle so many sounds at once i guess ?

or its prolly at the end of his life :P

Well i had choppy sound on ET when i was on ubuntu :x

but since the 8800 is out of stock it might take 3 weeks before it gets here , so i need a solution :)

I've got the same problem (I think). Go to the ingame sound options and switch the EQ off. Press apply. After this switch it on again. Should be fixed after another press on apply.

i was just playing Hitman:contract and suddenly it started during that game 2

do u use xfire? maybe uve blown up ur speakers, or its what N1ckV said
