filesystem (nerds)

about to format today, what fs should I go for?

Was thinking XFS for cross-compatibility, Linux, XP and OSX.

Any reason not to?

Exept for slower boot you'll be ok I guess ;)

well, I'm thinking about ext3'ing my bootdrive, ntfs'ing my win drive and then my /home/ 500gb xfs

would be the best I assume? (except for ext3's annoying fsck "thing" that it loves to run...)

Well, fsck IS useful, but idd, can be kinda annoying ^^

Think I'll go for JFS @ boot (/), XFS @ /home/ and NTFS @ xp

just go with ext3, it's stable :)

I always went with ext3. Never gave me any problems.
