Vista service

It uses an external USB storage device thats faster than the minimum and uses it to put the swapfile on

This way , acces to it will be faster than on the harddrive

Also the space allocated cant be used for anything else as long as its plugged in

So you have 2 gb to work with imo

Dont know exactly about the last part , but you get the idea

only if you have 512mb ram or less, but you shouldnt be using Vista on such a system.

vista needs 768 mb ram min ...


And some ppl need it for some graphic intense work and stuff

the problem is, its not nearly as fast as ram and only sligtly faster then a hd, and only if you got a good usb memory stick. it really doesnt give any noticeable what so ever. adding more ram does.
