is this computer system worth £480.00??

because i am buying a new computer for christmas in the january sales (OFC) :) and i am aiming of spending roughly £500 - £550

any other sugestions?

Overpriced. I'd go for:

Case & PSU: Antec Sonata III 500
Mobo: Abit IP35-E
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Memory: 4 gigs of the cheapest 800MHz DDR2 you can get
Heatsink: Boxed cooler or some cheap alternative. Coolink Silentator has gotten some good reviews lately.
HDD: Samsung T166 320 GB
DVD burner: Samsung SH-203 for example
Graphics card: HD3850, HD3870 or 8800GT depending on availability and time constraints... If you need it for christmas, go for whatever you can get.

You'll prolly even have some money left to spare.
