does it matter if i install it in the top or bottom slot?

in that case it probably doesn't matter, this info should be in your mobo manual.

thanks for the info (i currently have it installed in the bottom slot, not experiencing any problems :p but maybe top is faster or something)

since the slots are equal of speed it probably doesn't matter, you can try the top one just to be sure. If that doesn't make a difference i would pick the one where the has the most airflow.

i'm getting that card in a few days, p5b mobo
doesnt matter i think?
edit: i have a 7600gs in the top slot now, if i leave it in one of both cards wont work right?

lol p5b has only 1 PCI-e x16 slot, you have to take the other one out

yes, networkcards, audiocards , TV-cards, raidcontrollers. You only will see 2 pci-e x16 slots on motherboards which are used for SLI or something.
