a friend of mine is in need of a new pc. normally only for games.
cash limit : 900 €
he wants to take the hdd (sata) and drives from his old pc.

maybe one of you knows much about pcs and could post a nice one.
he also wants vista

look at mine, almost the same, how long does he gonna do with his pc, if he can wait 1-2 months there will be new dualcores. If he's gonna do atleast 3 years with the pc take a Quadcore Q6600

GT is much cheaper and better, new chipset etc dont let you fool by the gtX

I'd add an additional 2GB of RAM, especially if you're going for Vista.

And change the cooler to something else, Freezer 7 Pro is said to be noisy when ran on high fan speeds, and it doesn't cool that well with low rpms. Coolink Silentator has gotten pretty good reviews everywhere, despite it's wacky name. Costs about 40 euros.

I'd also change the 8800GT to something cheaper. There are 8800 GTs for sale for under 200 euros, and the cards are virtually identical. 'For sale' doesn't mean they will available before christmas, though: looks like Nvidia will miss the christmas markets with their production delays.
