wondering noob

hi

I'm thinking about buying myself some new hardware for my computer and I'm wondering if you feel a lot of diffrence using 2 x GeForce 8800GT or 2x GeForce 8800 GTX

Looking at this tom's hardware picture it seems the change is a minor one when using one of each, but I really don't know much about this -,-

gl finding 2x8800gt in 'normal' price btw

and there should be no difference (except for lower temperatures & more space inside pc...)
no difference? xD
gtx >>>>> gt
but gtx price is too high

atleast the tom's hardware picture says there is only 7 fps diffrence between the two when playing cod4, nothing to whine about really :o

gt @ oc = gtx (which is highly not overclockable - most of them can do 612 max @ core)

gt is made in lower tech. process, what means less power, less temp., more hz @ oc

and gt is 2 times cheaper than gtx (if it wasnt for low shipments, but some new ones gonna come in january...)

my cousin owns one hardware shop here in Iceland and can get me lower prices so thats no problem really.

thanks for the answer :)

2x8800gt actually performs better than 2x8800gtx, whilst the price is lower, so gl hf ;)

this is caused by the new chip architecture introduced to the 8800gt
hai icelander!
what spree says!
