What do i do once i get ET downloaded?

Ok i just downloaded ET and download a patch off xfire 2.60 but when i tried connecting to a server it said incorrect version.
Help please

Get the patch 2.60b and update punkbuster (pbweb.exe in the pb folder in the et dir)
