MSN virus :@

some shite head sent virus, well wasn't his fault, being my mate i opened it. Now i have the virus, Norton hasnt got rid of it, SPYbot + windows defender, none got rid of it :S?

Any ideas?

lol no it won't, depending on the MSN worm, they're stored in /system32 and /windows folder, not MSN folder

sends the virus to all contacts, n jus randomly messes up msn, closes boxes etc.

check your taskmanager and stuff. if you find sth obvious search for the file @ explorer and delete it. :p

I think it's hidden as "svchost.exe" but I'm not sure what kind of virus you got. :l

edit: ah and activate: show hidden files and look @ your C partition in recylcer folder/windows dir and stuff :p

probalby, you should look for msn plus in your folders.. and delete that then uninstal msn and dl it again... well that works for some msn virus nor sure what one you got tho:)

he's working atm be he told me that an actief (atm) virus works on they way i just said;o) the best way is to do it in safe mode...

not really, got friend who make money out of it but i understand shit about it... and some ppl make cheats/hacks and virussus just for fun but he you probably don't believe me cause why sould someone be friends with a virus maker?

You need to get the name of the worm. The way to remove it depends on the worm.

I once had a worm when I was 12 and I simply deleted the file , rebooted , it was back , so deleted again

And eventually it was gone for ever :DD
