Console Capture Technique

Can someone explain to me, how this works/give me a link to a tutorial?

if you dont know, what I'm talking about, the 'Console Capture Technique' has been used in 'Helix Resurrection' by dos and 'Epic Effect' by binarybiscuit.

found out how it works, quite easy actually ^^ (dnp movie pack, shaolinproductions tutorial backup)

It was first made by shaolin production in 4K movie, and they made up a little tutorial, a backup of the tutorial can be found in the dnp movie pack, wich can be found somewhere on the interweb.
