works kinda good but only for load times in games really. Been running a stable raid 0 array for more than a year now never crashed or anything but use a extra drive for backup if one of the drives in the raid array fails.
I'd add some big raid 0 as a work disk, if one is interested in video editing or other hd-performance demanding activities. Maybe even a raid 5, if one can afford a decent med to high end hw controller... The cheap (or integrated) ones usually lack performance for serious use.
Even the better controllers fail at times. We had a rather large raid 5 array at work, and one disk failed. We didn't have a free disk for immediate replacement, and somehow another disk was lost by the controller while we were backing up some data from the array... Lost all the data. Fortunately we had a week old backup available. :)
i would think about this ;)
jews!
today is thursday and thurday is kebabday here...then it costs 3 !!euro
I wouldn't use it other than for temporary, high performance storage.
2x raptor 150gb@ raid 0 for os, games & stuff
2x Szajsung 250 @ raid 1 for data storaging
zis is liek i have olololol!
games/sum movies only :O
even tho n1 stuff you have......
and raptors ftw4ever....
